Pastor Tim is the founding pastor of Providence Church and has served vocationally as a pastor since 1993. Prior to the start of Providence Church, he pastored churches in Missouri, North Carolina, and Florida. He became a follower of Jesus Christ in 1982.

Pastor Tim's approach to church ministry is Christ-centered worship, expository Bible teaching, Christian fellowship/ community, and a missional lifestyle. He holds a Bachelor's degree in biblical studies/religion from Luther Rice University and a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta, GA. Pastor Tim is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program at Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina. The concentration of his D.Min program is in Biblical Preaching. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fly fishing for mountain trout almost as much as studying the Bible and spending time with his wife, Patty! Pastor Tim and Patty have been married almost twenty-five years and have two adult children.

In addition to the Bible, Pastor Tim enjoys reading Charles Spurgeon and A.W. Tozer.
